Produced for only 6 years the 50th Anniversary sub differs from the standard 11610LV with "Maxi" dial, laser etched glass and obviously the green bezel insert. It was originally believed that only the first production examples came with what is now commonly know as the "flat 4" bezel insert but as typical with Rolex when nearing the end of production they had to use up whatever back stock they had lying around and this is why this later 2008 example came with the flat 4 bezel insert. Often regarded as the very last true "old school" Submariner rare examples such as this have gone up considerably in the last year or so as collectors are snapping them up.
