    One of the 1st Comex 5514s with the original Comex dial it was fitted with upon it's 1st Rolex service. Most dials with the framed numbers ran the later Luminova dials, hence the earlier tritium versions such as this are more preferable. It also comes with full Rolex documentation not only tracking its history over the years but confirming its exact delivery date to Comex in 1975. You know the market is outa whack when the only specially manufactured pieces for Comex (& not converted standard models) aren't substantially more in price than the afor mentioned. Ref 5514 remains the only uniquely manufactured piece for the Comex diving company incorporating a gas escape valve without a calendar. As previously stated, this piece incorporates a second generation Comex dial along with not only its delivery history to Comex in but its quadrople Rolex service history from Rolex Aberdeen throughout the years. Aberdeen being the home of many a Comex diver due to the numerous oil rigs of the North Sea. There are believed to have been only 156 5514's manufactured & as far as documentation, if this isn't a 'watertight' example of one, I don't know what is!
